Below are programs and organizations with whom I have worked. Learn more and get involved!

Duke University Marine Lab

As a Rachel Carson Scholar, I spent two semesters at the Duke Marine Lab on the coast of North Carolina on Pivers Island studying as an undergraduate. The marine lab is a wonderful place to studying offering a variety of classes. In the spring, travel courses are offered on a block schedule. During my spring semester, I traveled to Belize, Singapore, and St. Croix for my classes. The following fall semesters, I spent the time on the coastal campus taking classes and conducting research in addition to a Fall Break travel course to Panama. There are not enough wonderful things to say about the Duke Marine Lab.

EarthEcho International

EarthEcho International’s mission is to inspire young people worldwide to act now for a sustainable future.  We are a nonprofit 501c3 organization founded in 2000 by siblings Philippe and Alexandra Cousteau in honor of their father Philippe Cousteau Sr., son of the legendary explorer Jacques Yves Cousteau.  Philippe Sr.’s belief in “a world where every single child can breathe fresh air, drink clean water, and walk on green grass under a blue sky” serves as our vision to this day.

Our approach is simple; EarthEcho’s 21st century tools and interactive resources equip youth to identify and solve environmental challenges starting in their own communities.
